Flower Sketches

I also did a couple of sketches from life of the wilted roses I photographed. The wilted shapes are more compelling than alive flowers. They have more texture and the shapes are interesting because of the contortion and wilting. I made sure to look at a few different angles of the flowers as opposed to just a view of the flower head. I’m not used to drawing flowers very often so these sketches are good for me to practise the unfamiliar shapes.¬†Screen Shot 2016-03-15 at 12.27.11Screen Shot 2016-03-15 at 12.27.17Screen Shot 2016-03-15 at 12.27.25Screen Shot 2016-03-15 at 12.27.30
