As mentioned previously, I’m interested in using draped fabric to represent some of the drapery in classical Vanitas paintings. I’ve picked these dresses as examples of the kind of silhouettes I like. One thing that keeps springing to mind is how the placement of the printed fabric will interact the draped silhouettes – I will have to very carefully plan the designs so that they are not hidden under the folds of fabric and are still clearly visible.
