Sam Taylor Wood – Still Life

“This work examines the split between being and appearance. The artist often places her human subjects––either alone or in groups––in situations where the line between interior and external sense of self is in conflict.” (Art Forum)
Taylor-Wood’s film depicts the transience of organic matter and life. The flies represent new life, and the fact that life is cyclical.
While I don’t intend to document anything using film, it would be interesting to document changing life through photography and drawings.
