Vanitas Painters

I also found a lot of good examples of vanitas painters online, as well as in different galleries.
Abraham van Beyeren
Beyeren was a Dutch Baroque Era Painter, ca.1620-1690. He was also known as Beijeren. His main subject matter was still life paintings.
What drew me to his work was the use of draped cloth. I feel that for this project, creating three items of clothing, that this draped cloth can be represented in the actual clothing too.

Jan Davidsz. de Heem
A Dutch painter, 1606-1683/4.
Heem’s work makes use of mostly natural arrangements of flowers, fruits and insects. As I am trying to do something different with my work and not include skulls, I will be looking into using these elements more instead too.
